Alice is a Toronto-based writer/director striving to creatively and visually tell stories with substance; her work tends to explore themes of race, feminism, and belonging. She wrote short film UGENE-12 (official selection for New Filmmakers New York and semi-finalist in Shiver Film Festival) which showcases her minimalistic, yet dramatic approach to writing. Don't Cry is Alice's debut in directing and it demonstrates her simple, yet poignant style. Alice creatively expresses herself and aims to stimulate discourse through her work. She currently continues to write while working as a non-union assistant director.

Laura is currently finishing her advanced diploma at Humber College’s Film and Television production program with a focus in production management, picture editing and post sound. Although she is known for her skill as a picture editor, Laura felt drawn to Don’t Cry due to its strong themes of family connections and culture; Don’t Cry is her premier short film as a producer. Her previous work has been screened at the Atlantic Film Festival, earning her a nomination for “Best Atlantic Picture Editor”. 

Jonathan is a filmmaker and photographer from Toronto. He is currently attending his last semester at Humber College where he has received the Humber Academic Award of Excellence for achieving the highest overall honours average. He is currently working as a Videographer and Editor for MonstrARTity Creative Community. Jonathan is also always working on his own film projects to maintain and further develop his skills and has received several awards, nominations and official selections for his work.

Tamara is a Toronto based filmmaker, with a passion for directing, scriptwriting, and production design. Although was born in Toronto, she spent the majority of her childhood in Chile which helped shape her artistic point-of-view. This also allowed Tamara to be fluent in both English and Spanish. She is currently finishing her last year in the Film and Television Production program at Humber College. Her determination and passion has led her to successfully direct two major student films. Tamara's creativity has led her to cultivate her talent not only in film, but in music and visual arts.

Jesse is a cinematographer and editor working out of Toronto. Raised in Cork, Ireland, Jesse discovered his love for film by winning his first award for most creative commercial in a high school competition. From there his love to create and watch movies grew, taking him to Toronto to study at Humber College’s Media Studies program where he won his second award for best cinematography on his student film “Life and Lies”. Outside of school Jesse co-owns Spacehouse Productions, an independent production company that has produced music videos and shorts.

Anneli Ekborn, originally born in England and of Swedish descent, is a multiple award-winning and Genie-nominated producer with three features and 15 short films under her belt. She carries a BFA in Film from Simon Fraser University and is an alumnus of The Canadian Film Centre and the National Screen Institute. In her spare time she works as a freelancer for the Toronto International Film Festival group as a workshop leader and speaker in their special delivery program that offers opportunities for youth in film. Anneli has worked on projects for the Canadian Film Centre, Temple Street Productions, Anagram Pictures and Slanted Wheel Productions.
